LS Quarry’s workshop continues to grow and support the growth of LS Quarry both at the Lima South and Yarck pits as well as the mobile crushing and screening operations carrying out contract work throughout Victoria and Southern NSW.
The staff in the Maintenance Department has grown from the original two to now having twelve staff including a store man to manage the procurement and organization of spare parts to help keep the large fleet of Trucks, Cars, Excavators, Loaders Crushing and Screening plants in top shape.
As part of our commitment to creating and keeping jobs in the local community we recently employed a school based apprentice diesel mechanic and are always on the lookout forĀ qualified Diesel mechanics to join the team at LS Quarry.
The workshop is fully equipped to carry out all repair and maintenance works to enable the team to do their job at the main location in Lima South and the mobile service units enable the Yarck Quarry and contract crushing teams to receive the mechanical support they need to keep their equipment going.
LS Quarry Asset Manager Tim Cann said “We have a large amount of Plant & Equipment to keep maintained, its a harsh environment in the quarry industry and our rock is one of the hardest so its hard on the equipment, we have a good team who are well equipped to keep the operation running to support production”
In addition to employing local staff LS Quarry utilizes a number of local contractors to help maintain the broad range of vehichles and equipment, together the staff and contractors help keep the machines running so we can live up to our motto of Superior Stone and Superior Service; delivering what customers want, where they want it when they want it.
